These all describe me these last few days. To add to it, the store has slowed way down. I am worn out, Taki is worn out. George is not helping Taki enough anymore in the mornings. So from 13 to and back to 13 hours a day I go. I had only 4 days of 10 hour shifts. It helped a lot.

The washing machine is still not fixed and Taki hasn’t bought a new one like he said he would a week ago. The dirty laundry is out of control. Maria is washing a little and I am washing a little but with 7 of us it isn’t near enough.

Today Maria complained about there being not enought groceries in the house. I am taking her shopping tomorrow. Maybe Yannis will come with us to get him out of the house. Maria has two job offers but hasn’t accepted either one yet.

My laptop gave me a notice today that it has been over 30 days since it was updated. It has locked me out of the internet here in the store. I asked Taki to bring it with him and I will go next door and use their internet to update it.

I hope to go to Galatea’s tomorrow night to see her and her Mom.

pray for my anger to end quickly, Deb

They are back home with us. Maria has had two job interviews. One was ridiculous hours. The other called back to say they weren’t busy enough to hire her after all. Yannis has no papers so it will be harder for him. It is wonderful having them home again.

Muriel and Kernel came and left (Muriel is Kent’s older sister). It was emotional, wonderful, full of pain, memories. The greatest pleasure was that they were able to meet the kids and Taki.

George’s Godfather passed away this morning. Of all the Godparents he was the best towards George. Maria never met hers after she was baptized and Michael-John’s quit contacting him at about the age of 5.

The store is busy most days but 13 hours a day and more for 7 days a week is taking it’s toll. I went home early last night because I was having an anxiety attack. To make matters worse. We are supposed to be paid on the 1st, it’s the 25th and still no money! I called and raised my voice today. He said Monday or Tuesday. How stupid is this? That is what he said everyday last week!!!

Michael-John is enjoying the gym. He paid for it with his own money. Taki and Maria said it is bad for him. There are trainers there to teach and watch him for his age and size.

For some Summer yumminess, check this out…

So how are you today. I had so much to share, opened up this page to share and blankness has encompassed my brain. 😦 (:

Maria called a little while ago. Yannis is leaving for England in 2 days. She needs money. I will get paid some time soon as I was supposed to have been paid on the 1st of the month.

Two days in a row, I got next to nothing done at home. Today, I did laundry dishes and lunch. That makes me feel better but not good. I made a spaghetti with a garlic/yogurt sauce for the first time. It was yummy. I will make it again. These 13 hour work days are taking their toll. I continue to work on my little art projects and this gives me distraction from the stress.

I didn’t see Michael-John for even one minute today. 😦 He was sleeping when I left in the morning. He wasn’t at home when I returned home for a break or when I left to do my second shift.

George was messing around with a gal from Norway last night. he he he His neck shows off the results of it this morning. ha ha ah ha

Still no news from Maria about when and now I wonder, IF, they will return.

It is and has been foggy all day. The sun was dull and when it went down it got wetter and cold. Feels like Winter again. This is bad for me but much worse for the visitors. They don’t get to see the sunset or the view that they pay so much extra for.

I am frustrated. It has been a slow day. I wanted to go home but Taki asked me to stay. So he is socializing for hours and I am at the cash register. I could have gone home early and got a little work done or a craft project or watched a movie. he he he he I am cold and bored and sleepy and I have almost 2 hours left.

At least this year we aren’t paying our ex-employee to sit around for 3 of the 4 hours we were paying him for.

I picked two of the little tomatoes that were perfectly ripe. Unfortunately they were rotten on their bottom sides.

That’s if for now. keeping you all in my prayers, Deb

Tried, unsucessfully to upload some photo’s. I will keep trying.

The wind was back this morning. As powerful as before and full of dirt. I was worried abot the stores computer again but it soon calmed down.

As Taki, George and I opened the store Murphy’s law descended on us. We were all frustrated and angry with each other and all the things that were going wrong. Taki and George were to go get his paper work done but things were in such a mess that after three hours. Taki told me to go home.

When I returned in the afternoon things had all gone back the way they should have been. We changed over to Michael-John me and his friend Adrew. I mostly worked on the postcards and tourist books. We have always let the salesman make the orders and fill up the racks. It has always bothered me but Taki wanted it that way. Anyway, today I found two old beat up looking boxes with postcards and tourists books. We had two similar boxes delivered a few days ago. I asked Taki if he would mind if I checked everything out for myself this once. To my delighted surprise he said yes. What I found made me angry for not following my instincts and taking over years ago. The salesman had ordered the same small and large books that we were already full of, he ordered for us none that were missing and no cookbooks, which we need. So we have several extra’s of the books that the racks are already full of but none that are missing. Strange, he did this with the new postcards by ordering many of the same ones we already have in the old box. So it is all straightened out now. We will send back all the extra books. We will turn over postcards that are not in shape to be sold. The extra postcards will keep and fill the racks up as needed. This is such a load of frustration lifted from me. Praise the Lord. Taki seems to be opening up more and more to me being more of a partner in the shop. He will always have the final word but it’s good to heard when my instincts are kicking in. 😀

Today I was not successful at home work. I will make an effort tomorrow.

Muriel and the Kernel will be here this month. I wish Kent could have come with them. Maybe some other time. Kent told me that they have loaded up on Reese’s and Beef Jerky for us. Maria, who is still in Albania told me to save her some. She sent me some photo’s in chat and she looks fantastic. I wish I sould share them here.

Taki is next door watching another soccer game. The last I heard it was Germany 5 and Brazil 0. This is not a game it’s a slaughter. I hear cheers with each goal and foul are bad call. lol

The book shop that delivers the Greek newspapers today, out of the blue, added some German magazines. I hope they sell. It would be great if we could get the English ones too. 😛

I have 80 points for a Ruffles game. If I get in at the right time, with those points, I will win a mini-Galaxy phone for Michael-John. I missed it three times today. Keep me in your prayers that I will get it right tomorrow. he he he He wants that phone VERY much. I wouldn’t know what to do with it.

It’s 12:45 am, so I will stop now. Check emails and FB, with love, Deb

We closed the store as usual last night about 1 am. We came to the store about 7:30 am as usual. We turned on the computer but it wouldn’t do anything. It was on but doing nothing. The computer here at the store is our cash register. We called the computer programmer. He suggested buying a new keyboard. Taki took off to do that. George and I continued to open up. Taki arrived with the new keyboard and we had the same problem. Next call was to a computer repair guy. Taki sent George and I off.

Our first stop was to a bank. George went inside by himself, I was not allowed to go. Being a 19 year doesn’t mean your Mom doesn’t want to tag along to witness your first time. He opened his first bank account and got his first debit card to go with it. Next stop was to an office called IKA (Like Social Security in America.). We were on our way to a third place for more paper work when Taki called us to come back to the store.

The computer repair man dusted off a few things inside the tower. The computer is up and running as good as new. That wind was blowing around so much dirt that it clogged our computer up. It turns out that we will return the new keyboard tomorrow. The buttons we use are in differnt places on the new one so I have to work slower.

I was at the shop for about three hours. At home I managed to wash the dishes,do 2 loads of laundry, a little work in the garden and make lunch. (fresh peas and potatoes in tomato sauce, a traditional Greek dish) I had one small annoying accident at home. As I sat some dirty dishes down next to the grater I grated a bit of my skin off. It burned while I washed the rest of the dishes. To cheer myself up I put on a blue fish bandaid when all the washing was done. It matches my clothes today. A bit of silly fun to make me smile.

Maria and Yannis have not given the date of their return yet. I hold onto hope that they will both find work when they get here.

Michael-John is going swimming at Kamari again today with friends.

George and his friends are having a bar-g-q.

I am working and so is Taki.

Tomorrow I hope to make my first batch of cherry jam. I am so excited. If it turns out as tasty or half as tasty I will be happy. I haven’t been able to make peach yet but I will. The apricot and strawberry were amazing.

keeping you in my prayers, Deb
