today…

Didn’t get to sleep until after 3:15am. It was hot and the breeze was hot and I wide awake. I don’t know why. I didn’t want to open the tv or the reading lamp they are too bright. Also my reading lamp puts off heat. I prayed until I fell asleep.

I was going to keep the card today but I didn’t. I slept like a log. I did dishes and clothes. I put out a bowl of chickpea’s so Taki and Michael-John could make them into a salad for their lunch. I started boiling some Santorini tomatoes to freeze for the Winter. I read a little, prayed some, had a shower, went to the post office and then work.

Baby George came home at 4 in the morning. A friend of his wrecked his motorbike and went to the free clinic. George stayed with him there. George wasn’t on the bike with him. The friend called and asked George to go to the hospital with him. George came to the shop with me. We ordered 2 pizza’s to be dilivered from Fira. (hot salami for me, a special for George) We shared with Goglee. We drank Pepsi’s and Goglee a beer. It was good. Soon after Baby George left to go see a friend here in Imerovigli.

It has been busy in the store, thank God. Helen called me yesterday. It was great to hear her voice. She let me know that everyone is OK and that church would be from 18:00 until…I get off at 21:00 so I couldn’t go anyway.

    Wives don’t forget old boyfriends!

Husband took the wife to a disco on the weekend.

There was a guy on the dance floor living it large – breakdancing,
moonwalking, back flips, the works.

The wife turned to husband and said: “See that guy? 25 years ago he
proposed to me and I turned him down.”

Husband says: “Looks like he’s still celebrating!!!

That was funny and mean!

Taki came so I will be leaving soon. with love…Deb

Woke up with the headache that has plagued me for the best part of two weeks to go along with the cramps too. Took pain medicine before even getting out of bed.

Watched almost the whole episode of Army Wives. I sure do like this serial.

Made pancakes even though M-J didn’t want any. I left some in the oven for my Baby George. They were good.  Read some more from the “Nanny Diaries”. Washed dishes, boiled potatoes for Taki and M-J’s lunch. Taki wanted his version of potato salad for lunch.

No swimming for Taki and M-J today, the wind was very high as was the sea. 😦

I am planning on walking to Fira tonight and then taking a bus home or near to home. I HAVE to get in some kind of exercise. I can’t stand it anymore. This will also leave the car here for Taki. It also means I won’t have to leave the house at 00:45 to get him every night. I don’t think he is going to like it. We’ll see.

The store has been busy today but my mood is crap! I just don’t know what to do about it.

Maria stopped by for a few minutes. We hugged and kissed. She was off to see a friend who needs a friend. God Bless my little Boo-Boo!

I left the house about 13:00 Baby George was still in bed. He thinks he is a party animal, silly bugger!

Taki came back EARLY , yeah, lucky me…with love, Deb

today…

I washed about half the dishes, did only 2 loads of laundry, over slept and made Michael-John miss English class. He will get the lesson(s) from another kid. We had cold cereal for breakfast. I did some postcards, took a shower, tried not to complain about the heat. I made my goal of not pigging out on junk food at the shop. Maria brought me her second chicken souvlaki (she could only eat one), that helped me meet my goal. I am taking banana’s, cooking chocolate and some peanuts home with me. I am going to make the boys some frozen banana’s on a stick. I wish I had mini-M&M’s instead of peanuts to coat them in before I freeze them. I hope the boys will like them. I plan on finishing the dishes and doing another load of clothes when I get home. We need sheets but where should I go to buy them and where will I find the money to buy them? I miss emails and snail mail from anyone I know. My shift will soon be over, thank God. It has been busy and that makes it all worth it. Also two Greek families came in. One spent 50 Euros and the other 68 Euros. That is the good part about Greek tourists. They eat and drink. No nibbling for them. lol

George worked his shift and then went to another friends house here in Imerovigli. He is waiting for me to pick him up.

Maria came by gave me a kiss, her extra food and left. lol

In the shop I removed 6 cakes that had expired. I found the first one when I went to ring it up for a customer. The others were from the same company but different. BUMMER! Sometimes we can return them and sometimes we can’t. Let’s hope this six baby’s will be replaced by new ones in a trade off. lol

I still seem to be in a bad mood most of the time and easily irratated which annoys me in itself.

I am also bored with cooking in my step above camping stove situation!!!

OK! That is enough complaints from me….as always with love, Deb

In 2003, Portland, Oregon bought more ice cream per person than any other U.S. city.

I have my monthly cycle. This one is one of the weirdest. The cramps are mild, the flow is VERY light but I want to sleep all the time. When I am not at work or sleeping I am just kind of in a daze. Also I have an almost non-stop headache.

Michael-John went shopping with me for one of my mail swaps yesterday. It was great having him with me. I bought him a phone card. It gives him 600 minutes to talk and 600 messages for one month. If he doesn’t use it he loses it. lol! He found his really old cell phone that works most of the time. One lady gave M-J and me these tiny little “eyes”. They are on tiny gold safety pins. Mine has a tiny pink fish on the bottom. I love it. When I told her I wanted to buy one for my sisters new Grandson. She said no you can’t buy one. This is for him. That tickled me. All the places we went the ladies were very helpful and friendly. I went back to work and M-J went to his friend Christana’s house.

Today I got only some mail things done and a shower. When I go home I plan on getting some work done. Mainly clothes and dishes. Taking out my recycling. I have about ten large garbage bags full.

George got off work and went to a friends house here in Imerovigli. Later he took the bus to Oia (ee-uh) to go swimming with other friends.

Michael-John didn’t come to work with me today. When Taki called him on his cell phone he got no answer. Taki went swimming without him. I got an irrate call from my youngest because his Daddy didn’t keep trying.

Taki is making “lunch” today. It is called beef-steaky. That means hamburger patties baked in the oven with potatoes. So I will have a very good dinner tonight.

Maria stopped by for two minutes after to work to give me a hug and a kiss. She was getting a ride home from a friend and he was waiting. She met her boyfriends Mom recently and liked her.

OK, my dear loved ones that is it for now…love from me to you…
